The Congregational Trip took place on Saturday the 7th June. Over 100 people met at the church at 10.45am to travel in the two buses down to Ayr. Once again the Lord blessed us with a beautiful, sunny day for the trip. When we arrived at Ayr, we had our picnic lunches in the park followed by the races. There were races for all ages, three-legged races, egg-and-spoon races, and wheelbarrow races with sweets for all who participated. Then everyone was free for a couple of hours. Some went and walked around the shops, some went to the play park, some played crazy golf, and many ended up on the sandy beach of Ayr either playing in the sand, swimming, or having a doze. Meeting back up at the Baptist Church Hall, we enjoyed our fish suppers and ice cream before heading back to Airdrie.
