Junior Camps

From the 16th-23rd July, five young people from Airdrie RPCS, and one girl from North Edinburgh RPCS were away at the Irish RP Church Junior Camps.

Going over to Northern Ireland on the ferry.

Campbell Quigley, Jamie White, and Ethan Muir were at Boys Discovery Camp.  Jamie and Ethan were at Camp for the first time.  All three of them said their favourite activity of the week was surfing.  The talks were on how Jesus was fully man and fully God.  When asked what their favourite overall thing about Camp was, here was how they replied:
– Ethan: “Believing in God”.
– Jamie: “The food and quiet time”.
– Campbell: “To be with other people who share your faith is very enjoyable.”

Jessica Muir and Catherine Quigley were at Girls Adventure Camp.  Jessica’s favourite activity was water sports.  The talks were on ‘Lies Young Women Believe’.  Jessica said that one thing that stood out for her from the talks was the question: “Do you spend more time in the mirror making your outer self beautiful, or do you spend more time with God making your inner self beautiful?”  Her favourite overall thing about Camp was seeing all her friends again.
