Young People at RPCI Camps

Six young people from the Scottish RP Church, five from Airdrie and one from North Edinburgh, went to the RPCI Camps in Northern Ireland this week:  Jessica and Catherine to Girls Adventure Camp; Kathryn to Girls Discovery Camp; Calvin to Boys Adventure Camp; and Adam and Campbell to Boys Discovery Camp.   Here is what they thought about the camps:

Girls Adventure Camp
“The talks were on ‘Holiness’.  I knew holiness was important, but the talks helped me realise how important it actually is.  My favourite activity was surfing.  The best part about Camp was getting to see friends.” – Jessica Muir

“The talks were interesting.  I liked shopping best of the activities.  I liked everything about Camp.” – Catherine Quigley

Boys Discovery Camp
“The talks were on the armour of God.  I hadn’t really thought about how you need the armour of God and how you need all the pieces of the armour.  My favourite activity was banana boating.  The best part about Camp is learning more about God.”  – Adam Smith

“I’d say what Adam said about the talks.  I never knew that much about the armour of God.  I didn’t realise how important it is to have every single piece of it.  My favourite activity was also banana boating.  The best part about Camp is everything really.” – Campbell Quigley

Boys Adventure Camp
“The talks were on the book of James: Perseverance; Hearing & Doing; Favouritism; Taming the Tongue; Worldliness; and Boasting.  There weren’t any big things I learned from the talks, but there were lots of little things I learned or was reminded of.  My favourite activities were squad games and ice skating.  The best part about Camp is the discussion groups, they give a more indepth look into the talks and help me to look at how I can apply what I learn into my life.” – Calvin Quigley
