Mrs Margaret Leahy cuts the cake for the 25th anniversary of the minister’s wives get together in Northern Ireland. She was one of two speakers along with Mrs Sallie Blair at the first conference in 1990. Following that year, the day rotated around the four presbyteries, so that it met in a different location each year.
Today, 29 wives of serving, retired, or prospective ministers were in attendance at the Leighinmohr House Hotel in Ballymena for a lovely lunch followed by a talk from Mrs Deirdre Mullan who is a retired minister’s wife.
After lunch there was an opportunity to browse the bookstall or stretch our legs at Galgorm Manor garden centre. Then it was back to the hotel for coffee and cake before saying our goodbyes for another year.
