Covenant Kids Club

Covenant Kids Club had a great Autumn Term.  We started in September and with a short break in October we went through to this past Friday, the 6th December.  We had from 11-14 children every week.  Most of those children were from the church, but some were relatives of those in the church.  They ranged in age from 3 – 9 years old.  We looked at Bible stories dealing with the Israelites in the wilderness, the conquest of the Promised Land, and the stories of Deborah and Gideon.  A number of people from the congregation as well as the Semester in Scotland students took a turn to give the Bible talk each week.  We also memorised 3 verses and learned 3 new Psalm portions.  Each week we start with games and then after a snack, we work on our memory verse and our Psalm portion.  Then it’s time for the Bible story followed by a craft relating to the story.  We are very thankful to the Semester in Scotland students for their help, and we know the children will miss them.  On Friday we finished the term by a party at Adventure Planet, a soft play place in Cumbernauld.  Everyone had a great time from the ball pits to the giant slides.  Please continue to pray for the salvation and growth in grace of these covenant and community children and pray for Kids Club as we resume on the 10th January.
