On the 27th March Debbie Fisher, a member of Airdrie RP Church, married James Boyd, a member of Knightswood Free Church Continuing. The day started with some unexpected, but very pretty snow, and the church was full of friends and family from both sides. Rev. Andrew Quigley led the service and preached on Colossians 3 and the need for Debbie and James to “let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly” as they sought to establish a covenant home. He spoke as well at different points in the service on how the Airdrie congregation has been praying for years for Godly spouses for our covenant young people, and how we are so thankful for this answer to prayer. Debbie and James will be moving to Hamilton at worshipping at Knightswood in Glasgow. Andrew spoke of how we will miss Debbie and all the many quiet things she did to serve the Lord and His people, always with a cheerful attitude, but how we rejoice that she is moving on to this new stage in her life in Christ. After the service there was a light buffet lunch through in the church hall which the Airdrie congregation had helped to provide. There was then a small reception for friends and family at a hotel in Lanark. We will miss Debbie, but we are so thankful for the way God has richly blessed her.
